Nathan Buche
President
Nate was born and raised in Lafayette. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1997. Nate excelled in both football and baseball during his high school career. These days Nate is more likely to be seen relaxing on his pond, or enjoying a bonfire, with his wife Janet and their (3) shelter dogs Bixie, Gidget & Big Mike. He also enjoys his ZTR mower and can be found in numerous locations mowing lawns. Occasionally Nate will fit in a game of golf or enjoy some kayaking down Sugar Creek. Nate enjoys following the Purdue Men’s Basketball teams, as well as, any activities his 12 nieces and nephews are in. They are: Laura, Cole, Joe, Margaret, Reece, Isabel, Anna, Ty, Isaac, Jacob, Eliza and Elizabeth. His favorite TV shows are HGTV’s House Hunter, Repo Man and Hardcore Pawn. Cousin Jackson, classmate to Nate, recently recalled a time in high school when Nate would make him read through the newspaper classified ads during study hall looking for cars he could buy, clean up, fix up and resell for a profit. Jackson said Nate use to call the #’s in the ad between classes, on his cell phone, and make arrangements to buy the cars. Proof positive, Auto Express was not an idea that came about overnight! Nate’s been working on this dream for decades. He is a true entrepreneur and enjoys keeping up on industry trends by reading periodicals, books on small business and is a fan of Warren Buffett & Dave Ramsey.
Amy Lucas
Business Manager
Amy comes to us with experience in both customer service and bookkeeping. Her proficiency and attention to detail allow her to complete twice the work in half the time. Amy graduated from Central Catholic High School as well as Purdue University with a Bachelor's of Art in Sociology. Amy, married to Don Lucas, spends time outside of Auto Express raising 4 sons, Brian (17), DJ (14), Aaron (13), and Wyatt(10). She manages all aspects of running a busy household with many extracurricular activities to attend with the kids. The Lucas' enjoy football and baseball games, as well as spending time with family in Phoenix and Florida. We are fortunate to have Amy on board with Auto Express!
Rob Jones
Sales Manager
Rob Jones is a native of Crawfordsville, Indiana. He previously worked for, and helped manage, Mobile Wash Xpress. This experience, and his natural ability to work with the public, made for a perfect fit with Auto Express. Rob is married to Jessica Jones, a Purdue graduate and native of Lafayette. They have two children named, Mason and Mady, and share their home with a Chocolate Labrador named Morgan. You may recognize Rob from time spent at The Other Pub where he bartends on Friday nights. We are very pleased to have Rob on board to assist our customers. He is a joy to work with!
Robby Elam
Internet Manager/Customer Service Representative
Robby came on board with Auto Express after having worked alongside both Nate and Rob for 4 years at Mobile Wash Xpress. His contributions and dedication to the customers there, led him to a position with Auto Express. Robby is a native of Anderson, Indiana. He graduated from Highland High School where he participated on the tennis, track and wrestling teams. Robby is a Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan thanks to his father being a native of Ohio. He came to Lafayette to attend Purdue University, where he met his wife, Staci Elam who is a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher at South Montgomery Junior/Senior High School. Staci has been a friend of owner Nate Buche for many years and we are thrilled to have such a caring, funloving, energetic couple to associate with, both professionally and personally. In his free time Robby enjoys the outdoors, especially around a bonfire or fishing in the Wildcat behind his home. Robby shares his home with several cats that Staci might have been involved in acquiring. Robby excels at customer service, in addition to, information technology and is a true asset to Auto Express and their clientele.
Dawn Greer
Internet Marketing Specialist
Dawn Greer joined the Auto Express team in September of 2010. She was a referral from our good friend Pete (Dawn’s hubby) at Brad’s Motor Marketplace. Dawn was born and raised in Lafayette having graduated from Jefferson High School in 2001. She grew up in the car business. When not working, Dawn enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, Hasten (5) and Asa (2). She also enjoys planning events for the family, along with commercial and recreational painting. Dawn is our Internet Marketing Specialist working with the photography and videography required to keep our website up to date. She also assists with preparing vehicles for sale and additional duties as assigned. We all know what that means! Dawn’s work behind the scenes is so important in our success and also allows the customer service representatives more time to spend with potential and returning customers. Mike Cochran
Customer Sales Representative
Mike Cochran came on board with Auto Express in August of 2010 to assist with the growing business. He was born and raised in Lafayette, graduating from Jefferson High School in 1991. Mike is a former co-worker of Rob Jones’ from The Other Pub. We appreciate the referral Rob! Mike brought with him 10 years of customer service experience. He continues a part-time gig bartending at the American Legion on Friday nights. Mike has a 10-year-old daughter, Ireland, that he enjoys spending time with. He is a HUGE Chicago Cubs fan, and generally likes anything and everything to do with sports, mentioning the Pittsburgh Penguins National Hockey League as one of his favorite teams. In the words of Billy Currington, Mike is “pretty good at drinkin’ beer”. We are excited to have another enthusiastic, hard working customer service representative on board!
David Wilson
Customer Sales Representative
David is the newest member of the Auto Express team. Having grown up between California and England he has learned how to talk to virtually everyone. He loves meeting and interacting with new people which is what makes him a great sales representative and a great asset. He graduated high school from Heritage High School in Saginaw, MI in 2000 where he played football, wrestled, and ran track. He then went to Messiah College in Grantham, PA where he wrestled and studied Biology. He graduated from Saginaw Valley State University in 2005, finishing up his last year there with a B.S. in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Philosophy. He also helped start the first wrestling team for SVSU. Since college he has worked in many science and customer service roles, most recently as a Hazardous Waste Chemist for Purdue University and as the Assistant Manager of Jos A. Bank. In his off time, depending on the season, he enjoys backpacking, climbing, snowboarding, camping, and the occasional drink by a campfire. He has been in Lafayette for 4 years and has been lucky enough to find his future wife, Shay Richeson, and will be married this August.
Anne Buche
Marketing Director
Anne joined the Auto Express team in the Spring of 2011. Anne Buche is sister-in-law to Nate. She was born & raised in rural Lafayette, having graduated from Central Catholic in 1995. Anne grew up enjoying the outdoors. She spent time riding and showing horses, participating in 4-H, as well as, performing as a high school cheerleader. Prior to returning to Lafayette in 2001, Anne lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Portage, Indiana. She continues to enjoy time in the out of doors, whether running, walking, mowing the lawn, tending to the garden, floatin’ on the pond, tubing on the lake or cheering the kids on at sporting events. Anne, and her husband Matt, have 4 beautiful children (we aren’t biased at all) Cole (12), Reece (9), Ty (6) and Eliza (4). Ty is the originator of the “Auto Express No Tag Backs” Slogan and we enjoy watching the kids play this game any time we are traveling around town. Between her work at Auto Express and the many, many hats a mother of four wears, Anne works as a professional photographer (www.creativeanglesphoto.com). She is an enthusiastic, supportive and creative addition to our team.
